Investigating cause of machinery failure which lead to a collision

Attending on board a vessel to survey and investigate damage, whether it involves fuel, machinery failure or collision (hull damage) is easy. Anybody can walk on board and provide opinion but it is the value/worth of that opinion that can then be questioned and broken down.

However, any attendance made with qualified approach and with opinion that is formed from past knowledge will have onward valuable merit. Opinion that is informative and backed-up by years of experience and knowledge, is what we do.

We attend for damage survey with years of experience behind us. We attend as qualified engineers approaching the survey correctly and informatively and we provide opinion that is based upon exacting knowledge gained through personal experience and study. After a survey we  rapidly report  in succinct format, words that are easily read but without ambiguity or irrelevance included.

We attend for damage surveys that are the direct result of operator negligence or poor maintenance regimes, of equipment malfunction or failure. We study damage caused by off-spec fuel, by collision, flooding or grounding and we investigate root cause and likely costs to rectify. We then write about it afterwards and as much as is required, for example, for the courts or arbitration or as claims to be adjusted upon.

We provide qualified and expert opinion only.
